Welcome to our website. Like most people on the land we're better in the paddock than we are on the internet-but here is a snapshot of our business and our motivation.
About Us
Southleigh Farm is our heart place and the base of our work. We're nestled in the Blue Mountains just outside of Lithgow in the NSW Central Tablelands. After more than 100 years operating as a traditional farming enterprise the land was crying out for things to be done differently. The farm is currently transitioning to a mixed regenerative agriculture model and providing a learning labratory to share our journey. We are comitted to local action on global issues and are keen to collaborate with others that share our vision.

In todays fast paced world of tablets and technology kids have less opportunity than ever to connect with natural environment. Building evironmental fluency and awareness in our future generations must be one of our most important goals.

Informed by 15 years of performance and environmental education experience Southleigh Farm delights in the design and delivery of workshops and resources to this end.
More Sustainable Produce
Partnering with Local Businesses
We are comitted to producing high quality produce for our local community. We provide pasture based free range beef, seasonal fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices by direct sale and to local markets.
As the system develops we are branching out into more intensive production and are keen to work closely with local businesses to deliver a closed loop service from paddock to plate.
​We also repurpose local waste streams to achieve high end recycling through industrial ecology.

Environmental Solutions
Through permaculture design principles we develop systems that are efficient and productive. By working with natural design rather than against it we develop complex resilient systems.
